Marathon with Sydney Bristow
Just finished watching Season 4 of Alias the other night. As expected, it was a cliffhanger...except that they saved the ending for Season 5. It's another nice series to watch, one with a good balance of action/suspense, humor (mostly from Marshall the genius-geek's antics), and family life that will leave you at the edge of your seat, let you laugh and enjoy. I somehow eventually got tired of the action scenes in each episode, eventhough Sydney and Nadia were a joy to watch in action. ;-) It's like watching the usual superhero series where an encounter with a villain becomes a requirement in each episode. Still, I continued watching with each mission leading the team closer to its goal of stopping Milo Rambaldi's ultimate end game. But actually, it's the Bristow-Derevko-Sloane family triangle subplot that really tied all the episodes together for me. I like how they put that into the storyline...the complexities, the twists.
Now I wonder what will happen to Vaughn and Sydney with the car crash.. I'm guessing it's just a nightmare of sorts by either of them. I know Season 5 already started in US, but I'm refraining from surfing Alias sites and forums or even asking anyone about it. I'll just opt to wait for a few months when the whole season is already available here. Anyway, a brief break after watching Seasons 1-3 should be good. :) Plus I never liked having to wait a week in between episodes. It has to be the whole season ready to played for marathons.
So now I'm on to my next series-to-watch... Prison Break? Yeah, I think I'll finally give in to Jay's endless raves. A full season copy, anyone?
